RASKB Interview: Early Westerners in Korea & the RAS-KB

Patrick Wunderlich interviews Brother Anthony, president of the Royal Asiatic Society, Korea Branch. We discuss early westerners in Korea from the 1880s until the end of the Korean War. We talk about who the early visitors were, why they came to Korea and life after the Japanese annexation of Korea.  The role of the RAS-KB in helping westerns learn about Korea is also discussed.

In part two, we conclude the interview by discussing the last westerners in Korea before the start of World War II and the first westerns who returned to Korea after the war. Thanks for listening.
